Matt Bradley megsérült, Repik jön fel:
The Panthers lost winger Matt Bradley to an undisclosed injury after he slammed into a stanchion near the Florida bench while trying to check George Parros into the glass. Parros saw the hit coming and stopped, with Bradley going crashing into the post. Play had to be stopped while the subsequent broken glass was replaced.
Bradley left the locker room without commenting to the media. The Panthers are calling it a 'upper body' injury although Bradley looked like he hit his head on the collision. Dineen said the Panthers will call up a forward from their AHL club in San Antonio and Michal Repik – who was sent down a month ago – is considered the frontrunner to return.

Weiss, taken by the Panthers with the fourth overall pick at the 2001 draft held in Sunrise, will play in his 613th game on Sunday against the Ducks.
When he plays Thursday against the Wild, he'll be atop the Panthers record book.
Sunday's game will put Weiss in a tie with Radek Dvorak for most games played with the franchise. He'll break that Thursday.

Madden is megsérült!
Veteran center John Madden will miss the next couple of weeks because of a lower-body injury.
The 38-year-old three-time Stanley Cup winner played 10 minutes in Wednesday's 6-2 loss at Ottawa and was a minus-2.
Madden has yet to register a point in 15 games with the Panthers since being signed Jan. 4.

On the eve of a titanic showdown against the Washington Capitals, General Manager Dale Tallon adamantly said that for the first time in years the Panthers will be buyers and not holding their annual February trade deadline fire sale.
With 26 games remaining and the revamped Southeast Division-leading Panthers clinging to a four-point lead over the Capitals, Tallon showed the Sun Sentinel a list of about a dozen crossed-off names of GMs who he had called before the team's 11 a.m. practice had ended Thursday.
"We're not sellers,'' Tallon said. "We got five games before the deadline, so we'll know better. We got a good team, so it's a matter of adding pieces. We're moving forward from here; we're not subtracting.''
It would probably take a pedestrian 14-11-1 finish to earn 95 points and a playoff berth.
Tallon, who dumped six veterans before last year's trade deadline, wants to add offense to a team ranked 21st in goals and 26th in 5-on-5 goals.
"The easier we can score goals, the better it is on your stomach,'' Tallon said.
Tallon said he's not interested in a "rent-a-player,'' possibly excluding a veteran scorer with an expiring contract such as Oilers forward Ryan Smith.
While Tallon is obsessed with ending the Panthers' NHL-record 11-year playoff drought, he won't mortgage the future by taking on a burdensome contract like Blue Jackets' underachieving center Jeff Carter.
However, Columbus' Rick Nash, a 30-goal scorer in his prime signed through 2018 for $55 million, could be worth the price. Edmonton slumping, oft-injured wing Ales Hemsky, 28, who has a couple of 20-goal seasons, could fit the bill.
It's no secret the Panthers could use an upgrade at center, so the Lightning's Dominic Moore, who wins 55.7 percent of his faceoffs, could return to South Florida.
Tallon said that injured defensemen Ed Jovanovski and Jason Garrison should be back before the Feb. 27 deadline, so he won't pursue a Band-Aid on the blue line.
"The phones are really quiet,'' Tallon said. "A lot of teams are still looking to see if they're buying or selling, so they're all kicking the tires.
"The worst-case scenario is we're staying pat.''
Weiss mad at refs
Panthers center Stephen Weiss, who ranks 11th in the league with 531 faceoffs won, was repeatedly kicked out of the faceoff circle by linesmen during Wednesday's 6-2 loss to Ottawa.
That forced wingers Kris Versteeg and Tomas Fleischmann to step in and go a combined 1-4 on critical draws during power plays.
"They stand there for 10 minutes with the freaking thing in their hand. They're a joke,'' an angered Weiss said. "They need to drop the puck and stay out of the player's way, and that's it."
Dineen unhappy
The Panthers' fourth line of Matt Bradley, John Madden and Jack Skille were on the ice for Ottawa's first two deflected goals scored by two rookies who have a combined five career goals.
"I didn't think they had a very good shift and wasn't happy with the way they played,'' Dineen said.
"I like to put players in challenging situations where they have the ability to respond to adversity, and honestly
they dinn't."

Former Florida Panthers Captain Bryan McCabe: "I'm Done.''
Bryan McCabe, captain of the Panthers from 2009 until his trade to the Rangers at last season's trade deadline, says he is unofficially retired.
McCabe watched Wednesday's game from the press box and says he has been working with Florida general manager Dale Tallon for the past few months and is helping the team scout ahead of the Feb. 27 trade deadline.
McCabe and his family reside in Boca Raton. “Florida is home for us now,'' said McCabe, who played 1,135 games over 16 seasons with the Islanders, Vancouver, Chicago, Toronto, Florida and the Rangers.
He was with the Panthers from 2008-11.
“Am I trying to play again? No. I'm done,'' McCabe said. “I'm down here, retired, have three kids now so that's what I'm doing. That's real work. The offers came in, but I don't want to leave here. We called it a day.
"I knew this day was coming and I'm fine. I'm settled in.''

The Florida Panthers signed defenseman Tyson Strachan - recent scorer of his first NHL goal in 75 career games - to a one-year, one-way contract extension on Wednesday. He's the prototypical solid-if-unspectacular blueliner whose had some offensive success in the AHL since being drafted in the fifth round in '03 by Carolina. Several stints with St. Louis gave him the lion's share of his big league experience, making him an attractive enough option for the Panthers when they signed him to a one-year deal in June. The thinking was obviously geared toward the opportunity he'd receive with San Antonio, and he delivered: 12 points (3G) and a plus-5 in 32 games with the Rampage.

Dineen said defenseman Jason Garrison will miss the next seven to 10 days after suffering what is thought to be an ankle/foot injury on Saturday against New Jersey. “That's a big hole in our lineup,'' Dineen said. At one point during that game, Florida was down to just three defensemen.
Weaver had his skate blown out after blocking a shot from Ilya Kovalchuk that was so hard, the rivets had to be replaced. While Weaver was in the locker room, Gudbranson came in after Steve Bernier's skate sliced Gudbrason's laces down the center of his boot. Then Garrison hobbled in.
“We were going to have to play Versteeg on defense,'' Weaver joked. Florida did actually use winger Mikael Samuelsson on defense for a time.

After spending his career as a backup netminder, Florida Panthers goaltender Scott Clemmensen is beginning to shows signs that he may finally be ready to step into the spotlight.
Clemmensen was signed on July 7th 2009 to a three-year contract as a backup to then starting goaltender Tomas Vokoun. Clemmensen had previously spent his time in New Jersey doing what he did best – filling in for Devils star netminder Martin Brodeur. Clemmensen played 23 games during the 2009-2010season for the Panthers posting a 9-8-2 record.
The following year, Clemmensen was forced to appear in more games for the Cats due to several injuries to Tomas Vokoun, but with the extra opportunity come a decline in Clemmensen’s numbers as he posted a dismal 8-11-7 record in 31 contests.
On July 1st 2011, Tomas Vokoun decided to test the free agent waters, eventually signing with division rivals Washington Capitals for a 1-year deal. In turn, the Panthers signed former Capitals netminder, Jose Theodore.
Theodore and Clemmensen would fight it out during pre-season play to determine who would be starter – despite it being pretty clear that Theodore would get the nod. By the end of the pre-season, after having a slightly better performance Clemmensen would unfortunately once again see himself as a backup sitting on the bench by the time the regular season rolled around.
Clemmensen would again have to sit patiently on the bench and wait for his time to shine; his time to come into the game and really prove that this was his season to impress everyone. Due to untimely injuries to Theodore, Clemmensen would get a few extra chances to start games; a great chance to impress the coaching staff, and impress he did.
In 20 games with the Panthers this season, Clemmensen has posted a 10-4-5 record with a .913 Save Percentage and 2.62 Goals Against Average. His great play has even gone as far as having a healthy Theodore sit out Thursday night against the Los Angeles Kings, and again on Saturday versus a very tough New Jersey Devils club.
